| About the Teacher
Angelita Kohlmus was first drawn to yoga in 1993 to improve physical fitness. Over
time, it became clear to her that the benefits of yoga to one's health extend way
beyond the physical level. She became a calmer, happier person yet felt fitter and
able to enjoy and appreciate a simpler lifestyle.
Over the years, Angelita practised different yoga styles under many different
teachers. But her main influence and inspiration came from an Indian yogi in Sydney
- Acharya Upendra Roy who taught traditional authentic hatha yoga.
Angelita holds a Diploma of Yoga from Acharya's Yoga and Meditation Centre. She also
studied at the Antara Yoga and Meditation International Institute and holds an
Antara Yoga Teachers Diploma.
Angelita wants to help students learn the correct technique in all aspects of
traditional hatha yoga. She aims to give a class where students feel relaxed and
unhurried and practising with full awareness, regardless of level. And like herself,
she would like her students to discover the simplicity, peace and contentment that
yoga practice brings.
